HERE’S WHAT’S HAPPENING IN OUR AREA…

Meet the Candidates for Washington County Sheriff is coming up on April 21 from 5-6pm at the Washington County Chamber.

Arbor Day at Black Elk Heihardt Park from 6-9pm. The first 50 people will receive free trees. There will be tree workshops at 6pm, a nature walk with Nebraska foresters at 7pm, sawmill demonstrations, and fireside snacks from PassageWay Church. This is a free event open to the public.

National Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, April 25. Dispose of unwanted or expired medications safely by bringing them to the Blair Police Department.

A Blood Drive is happening Thursday, April 23rd from 10am - 4pm at Memorial Community Hospital & Health System Blair, NE. Register for open slots at https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/donation-time...

A Blood Drive is coming up on April 26 from 9am - 2pm at Salem Lutheran Church of Fontanelle. Register is at RedCrossBlood.org They will be collecting nonperishable food for the Faith Food Pantry in Winslow, NE.

Memorial Community Hospital is hosting the Spring 2026 Baby Expo on April 27 from 4-6:30pm. It will be a great time to tour the Labor & Delivery suites, meet nurses, and learn more about their services.
