HERE’S WHAT’S HAPPENING IN OUR AREA…


Washington County Fair continues through August 5th. See you at the Fair!


National Night Out is tonight, August 4th from 6-8pm at Generations Park. There will be food and games plus opportunities to meet local officers and see safety demonstrations.


The Mid-Week Meal at First Lutheran on Wednesday is Creamy chicken casserole – To order for pick up or delivery, to volunteer or donate, call Erica at 402-426-4073

Thursday Night Market is August 6 from 5-9pm at the Art Alley.


Pack the Pantry is a drive-thru food drive in the Family Fare Parking Lot on Saturday, August 8, from 8am-noon to support the Washington County Food Pantry. Sponsored by the Blair First United Methodist Church.


Pack the Park is happening on Saturday, August 8, from 6-9pm at the Blair Youth Sports Complex.


Blood Drive hosted by Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fontanelle is on August 9 from 9am-2pm.


Women’s Connection meets on Tuesday, August 11, at 6:30pm at Christ Lutheran Church in Blair. Kelly Carter, a floral designer and artist, will talk about the “True Designer of My Heart.” Stefanie Osterhaus will give information about the Memorial Community Hospital Auxiliary Closet Thrift Store. Tickets to cover the meal are $12. Please RSVP by calling Dottie at 417-846-7725.


Movie Night at the Park, featuring Ralph Breaking the Internet, is on Friday, August 14, at 6:30pm at Adams Street Plaza Park. Food available for purchase.


Crop Hunger Walk August 15 at 8am at the Blair First United Methodist Church. The Washington County Food Pantry will receive 25% of funds raised. Donate or sign up to walk at https://events.crophungerwalk.org/chw/event/blairne 


The NE-Brass-ka Brass Quintet is having their summer concert on Sunday, August 16th, at 2pm at the Blair Congregational Church.


Blair Schools Foundation Family Fun Night is on Friday, August 21, at 5pm at Krantz Field. There will be a volleyball scrimmage at 5:30pm and a football scrimmage at 7pm. There will also be band and cheer/dance performances, bounce houses, face painting, food trucks, and fire trucks.
