HERE’S WHAT’S HAPPENING IN OUR AREA…

Washington County Community Showcase is coming up on May 4 from 6-7:30pm at Blair City Hall. It will be an opportunity to hear and give feedback on the early childhood care and education in Washington County.

The Three Rivers Public Health Drive-Through Event is on Monday, May 4, from 4-7pm at the Fremont location (2400 Lincoln Avenue). They will have free well water test kits, radon test kits, and colon cancer screening kits. In addition, they will have free car seat checks, capillary lead tests, and lead testing on household items.

The Bike Rodeo is coming up on May 9 from 11am-1pm at the WCB South Parking Lot. There will be an obstacle course, helmets, hot dogs, and prizes.

National Peace Officer Memorial Walk & Service is on Thursday, May 14 at 6:30pm. It will start at the Blair Police Department and end at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. It is a time to honor officers who gave their lives in the line of duty.

Papio NRD Electronic Recycling Collections is on May 19 at 10am-noon in Tekcamah (539 S. 13th St.) and 2-5pm in Blair (1060 Wilbur St.). Free disposal of computers, monitors, keyboards, TVs, printers, DVD players, audio/video equipment, small electronic devices, and radios. No large appliances or computer/electronic repair.
