HERE’S WHAT’S HAPPENING IN OUR AREA…

The Annual Washington County Community Thanksgiving Dinner is Thanksgiving Day, November 27th from 11am to 2pm at Saint Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair, this is open to anyone in Washington County and is free. Volunteers and donations are needed – sign up information and other details can be found on the Washington County Community Thanksgiving dinner Facebook page.

A Trades Expo is Thursday, November 13th from noon til 2 at the Blair High School – a number of trades representatives will be available for discussion of future career, apprentice and internship opportunities.

Friday, November 7th, the Family Dental Center in Blair is providing free dental care for veterans, active military and first responders who do not have dental insurance. Limited spots are available. Call 531-910-7980.

The Jeanette Hunt Animal Shelter in Blair is in need of donations of clumping cat litter – donations can be dropped off at 147 South Fourth Street.

The Blair Optimist Club is now registering those people who want to sponsor a family for the Christmas Program this year. Please see the Blair Optimist Club’s Facebook Page for more details.

The Blair Public Library is having Laser Tag for those aged 12 through 18 - it’s November 15th from 6 to 7pm. You do need to register by calling 402 – 426-3617.
