Gateway Development 6 24 26

Mike Rooks, Director of Washington County Economic Development for the Gateway Development Corporation spoke with Blair Radio regarding the TIF process and working to help Blair Grow in a proactive approach. Mr. Rooks indicated that Omaha is growing towards Blair already and his task via a board in cooperation with community leaders is to find the way to stay ahead and be in control of the growth. Also, he spoke regarding the intertwine impact that decisions for a company to invest in Blair could have on various aspects of workforce, schools, retail, and amenities provided in our community. He wanted to make sure everyone is aware that his and the Chamber of Commerce's doors are open to any and all that have questions regarding development impact to Blair and Washington County.
