ROAD RAGE, SCAM ON HARRISON CO. SHERIFF'S REPORT

A phone call scam on the Harrison County, Iowa Sheriff’s Activity summary for May 13th through May 22nd. In that scam call, a resident of Logan was informed they had won a large sum of money, but they had to pay a processing fee by sending money through gift cards. That intended victim did not provide personal information to the scammers.

Also on Sheriff Brandon Doiel’s report, a road rage incident on I-29 which is being handled by the Iowa State Patrol, a multi-vehicle fatality also reported on I-29, under investigation by the state patrol. Also on the same stretch of roadway, a vehicle reportedly struck by lightning drug paraphernalia was observed in the vehicle and sobriety tests were done on the driver. Those are just a few of the incidents handled by the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office.
