Safety Measures Approved for Dangerous Intersections in Blair
More time to cross and red lights to stop traffic in all directions should make crossings at 19th and Washington and at 10th And Washington Streets a little safer.
Blair Public Works Director Al Shoemaker says members of the public and of the Blair City Council have been concerned about pedestrian safety at those intersections and have contacted the Nebraska Department of Transportation about extending the crossing time.
NDOT approved the request and new traffic controls will be installed in the upcoming weeks.
