Memorial Community Hospital & Health System is gearing up for a busy fall, with reminders for families preparing for the school year and several community events on the horizon. Coartney DiGiorgio, Community Engagement and Philanthropy Coordinator, recently visited Blair Radio to discuss upcoming programs and opportunities for community involvement.

With the start of the school year less than a month away, DiGiorgio encouraged parents to schedule any remaining school physicals and ensure their children's immunizations are up to date before classes begin.

She also emphasized the ongoing need for blood donations, noting that a steady blood supply is essential for emergencies and patient care. The next blood drive at Memorial Community Hospital will be held on Thursday, August 20, starting at 9 a.m. Community members may register through links available on MCHHS.org, the hospital's social media pages or the American Red Cross app.

Looking ahead, Memorial Community Hospital will continue celebrating its 70th anniversary with the MCH Foundation Golf Classic on Friday, September 18th, at Rivers Wilds Golf Club. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the MCH Foundation Endowment Fund. Team registration is now open online through the hospital's social media channels. Sponsorship opportunities are also available, including hole sponsorships, pin prizes and silent auction donations.

Additional events commemorating Memorial Community Hospital's 70th anniversary will be announced in the coming weeks. To hear the complete interview with DiGiorgio, visit the Blair Radio YouTube channel or BlairRadio.com.
