MONONA COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS GRANDSTAND BURNS

A fire last night at the Monona County Fairgrounds burned part of the grandstands among other damages. The origin of the fire is unknown at this time. Crews from Onawa, Blencoe, Whiting Fire departments, the Monona County Sheriff’s Office, Monona County Emergency Management and Burgess Health Center responded.
