25 year old Josiah Van Der Hart of Blair passed away August 8th. He is survived by his wife, Lydia and their son, Matthew., his parents Mark and Dorcas Van Der Hart, siblings Pricilla Frazier, Mary Rama, Joshua, Gabriel, David, Levi, Michael and Julia Wentz, and other family members. Visitation is tomorrow, 9am, the funeral follows at 11am, both at the Kennard Auditorium, a graveside service is at noon at the Kennard Cemetery.

74 year old John Dorsey Slader of Fort Calhoun passed away August 10th. He worked with Nebraska Game and Parks and was involved with Fort Atkinson. He is survived by his wife Joanne Slader, his siblings Dean Slader, Susan Bennerotte and Martha Haines and their families. Visitation is 6 to 8pm Friday, a Masonic Service at 7:30, both at Sievers Sprick. The Celebration of Life is Saturday, August 16th, 10:30 am at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church.

88 year old Niels Friis-Hansen of Blair, formerly of California, passed away August 12th. He is survived by his sons, Charles and Neils of California and Mark of Blair and their families. A private service will be held at a later date.

95 year old Wanda Lantry Poulson of Blair passed away August 10th. She is survived by her children Gary Poulson and Sally Poulson Baertschi. Visitation is Saturday, 10am, the funeral starts at 11, both at Hillside Christian Church in Blair.

94 year old Delores Dungan Peters of Blair passed away July 29th. A celebration of Life is Saturday, August 23rd, 1-3 pm at Cherry Hill Coffee Shop and Ice Cream in Fort Calhoun.

81 year old Norm Custard of Omaha, formerly of Washington County, passed away August 11th. He was a math teacher at Omaha Tech High, and had also been a truck driver and softball coach. He is survived by his wife, Linda and their children Kevin and Kelly. Visitation is this Friday, 5 to 7pm at Roeder. Another this Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2725 North 60th street in Omaha at 9am, the memorial service follows at 10am.
