RISING COST OF FOOD TO IMPACT WASHINGTON COUNTY JAIL

An increase in the cost of food from Summit Food Service, which provides meals for the inmates at the Washington County Jail is among the matters for the Washington County Board of Supervisors to discuss this afternoon. Jail revenues for August, updates on Roads projects and discussion on delinquent taxes are also in store for the supervisor’s consideration. At 4pm, a public hearing on the proposed 2023-24 budget is scheduled. Discussion of content of the county’s new website is slated as well. That meeting starts right after the Board of Equalization meeting finishes – approximately 3:05 at the court house, 15th and Colfax.
