TRAIN, STALKING AND SOYBEAN THEFT ON SHERIFF'S REPORT

A 45 year old woman was cited for false reporting in the 4000 block of Pioneer Road, and a train blocking a roadway for over seven hours on County Road 28, are some of the incidents on the Washington County Sheriff’s Activity Summary just released this morning.

A report of a suspicious male in Lakeland ends in the arrest of a 27 year old male on a warrant and violation of protection order.

A semi blocked Highway 75 at Herman School Road after an unsuccessful attempt at a U turn, deputies provided traffic control while that semi was being removed.


A speeder was pulled over near 19th and Butler in Blair and an arrest was made of a 27 year old male for several drug and weapons related charges.

Soy beans were stolen from a grain bin in the 24000 block of Highway 30.


Also on Sheriff Mike Robinson’s summary – a woman jogging Wednesday afternoon on County Road 41 was approached by two males in a gray SUV asking her strange questions. No contact was made with the suspicious people, but joggers are reminded to be aware of your surroundings and to carry a cell phone for emergency situations.
