Drive Sober or get Pulled Over is the public safety campaign funded by the Nebraska Department of Transportation’s Highway Safety Office. It starts this Friday and runs through September 4th and allows extra deputies on area roadways. Several area departments are part of the effort, including the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. Last year there were 77 alcohol related fatalities on Nebraska roadways. You’re strongly encouraged to arrange a designated driver if you plan to party.
