National media sources are naming the suspect in the assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University earlier this week – 22 year old Utah resident Tyler Robinson.
One of the suspect’s family members turned the suspect in to the Washington County, Utah Sheriff's Office. There are several states that have counties named after the nation’s first president.
The Washington County, NEBRASKA sheriffs office is seeking to clarify that the suspect in that shooting is in no way affiliated with Sheriff Mike Robinson of the Washington County Sheriff’s office in NEBRASKA.
A post on the sheriff’s Facebook page indicates there are some who are confusing the two similarly named families – that post goes on to say that Any threats directed toward Sheriff Robinson or his family will be taken seriously, reported to the FBI, and pursued to the fullest extent of the law.
