GETTING INTO AN ACCIDENT GETTING TO AN ACCIDENT
Responding to an accident and then getting into an accident – that was noted on scanner traffic yesterday when Fort Calhoun and Blair Volunteer Fire departments responded to an accident on Highway 75. Fort Calhoun took an injured party from that accident and moments later, while trying to take that person to the hospital, their vehicle was hit by someone else. Blair then took the person to the hospital.
Also on the Calls to the Blair Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department over the weekend – A brush fire at 2:56 in the morning on Friday, mutual aid to Herman Fire in covering a car accident, Three incidents of assisting a party up, an unresponsive person, another having trouble breathing, a hemorrhage, and someone hurt in a fall.
Additionally we are reminded that Governor Jim Pillen has issued a statewide burn ban, even if a permit has been taken out, there is to be no outdoor burning – that ban issued late last week.
