Here’s what’s happening in our area…


Volunteers are needed this Thursday at 1pm to help put flags on veterans graves at the Fort Calhoun Cemetery – those flags will be at the west entrance along with instructions.


Three years ago, lightning struck First Baptist Church in Blair, a fire ensued. Restoration work has been underway and is now complete. An Open House to show the restoration is Saturday, June 7th from 10am til noon.


A low cost spay/neuter clinic for Dogs belonging to Harrison County, Iowa residents is Thursday June 12th. You have to register beforehand – more details are available at the Harrison County Humane Society of Iowa social media


International Mud Day is June 29th. Mahoney State Park in Ashland Nebraska is having a mud day- where playing in the mud is encouraged and expected. The event will include a muddy slip and slide. It’s Sunday, June 29th from noon til 4pm


Logan, Iowa’s Village on the Green event is Saturday, June 7th from 9am til 4pm. Entertainment, food, vendors and more are featured.
