ROAD RAGE, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE HELPS AREA MALE GET A RIDE TO WASHINGTON COUNTY JAIL

On Monday at about 3:00 p.m. the Tekamah Police Department and Burt County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a road rage, domestic violence type incident taking place in an alley in Tekamah.
After further investigation it was determined a male suspect had rammed a truck being driven by a female party residing at the same rural Burt County residence, while it was parked in an alley. The suspect rammed and pushed the parked truck several times with his truck while the female victim was in close proximity of being struck.
The suspect fled the scene after threatening several individuals and causing significant damage to the parked truck. The suspect of rural Herman was located near his residence by a Nebraska Game & Parks Conservation Officer at which time a traffic stop was initiated and he was taken into custody at gun point near Herman.
The Burt and Washington County Sheriff’s Offices, and Blair Police Department assisted at the traffic stop scene. The suspect was transported to the Washington County Jail by the Tekamah Police Department where he was jailed pending a court set bond for 3rd degree domestic assault, 2 counts of felony terroristic threats, and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
The man also faces possible charges of disturbing the peace, willful reckless driving, and being a habitual criminal due to a lengthy criminal record and several prior prison sentences
