A Yutan man is dead, a Blair man taken to the hospital after a tree cutting accident in Bennington Wednesday.
A Valley Corp tree cutting crew near 162nd and Ida Street was working in a wooded area when a large tree shifted and fell unexpectedly.
Matthew Thompson was crushed by the tree and was pronounced dead at the scene by Bennington Fire and Rescue personnel.
Cooper Lippencott of Blair was hit by the falling tree and suffered a leg injury according to the Douglas County Sheriffs Office
