Washington County Road Construction Update

Work on County Road 32 begins this week according to Washington County Roads Superintendent Bill Hansel in an update earlier this week to the county board.

The Cedar Valley project will begin paving in late October, and work on the flood damaged areas close to Boyer Chute involving the Federal Emergency Management Agency should go out to bid next month.

Hansel says the county will have to pay for those repairs up front, but that FEMA will eventually reimburse 80 percent of that cost.
