Washington County Sheriff's Summary

PURSUIT, MORE ON THE WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF'S REPORT FOR THIS PAST WEEK.

A 38 year old man was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office after a pursuit yesterday. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and federal law enforcement followed a box truck on Highway133 northbound, the driver had a federal warrant related to sex crimes. An attempted traffic stop made at Placid Pond Lane, the driver failed to yield and that pursuit began, ending in Blair at South 18th Street and Butler. The driver was arrested and transported to the Washington County Justice Center.

Also on Sheriff Mike Robinson’s report for this past week, an injury accident at Highway 75 and mile marker 13 was reported, but is now considered part of Blair Police Department’s jurisdiction due to annexation. County deputies assisted Blair police in that matter.

A two vehicle accident at Highway 75 and County Road p-30 , criminal mischief in the 16 thousand block of County Road 21 are among the many matters on the Sheriff’s Activity summary, in addition to providing assistance to the Blair Police Department in that incident involving two small children in a hot car in Blair yesterday.
