Washington County Sheriff's Summary

The Washington County Sheriff’s office reported their School Resource Officers are back in the halls! SRO Ashley Judkins is serving students and staff at Arlington Public Schools, while SRO Greg Byelick is back at Fort Calhoun Community Schools.

The SROs are there for much more than school safety. They’re a familiar face in the hallway, a trusted resource for students and staff, and an important connection between our young people and law enforcement. By building relationships, having conversations, sharing a few laughs, and being present every day, they help create safer schools and stronger communities.

The Washington County Sheriff’s office stated “We’re proud to have SRO Judkins and SRO Byelick representing the Washington County Sheriff’s Office in our schools and helping make sure students have a safe place to learn, grow, and succeed.” To all of our students, teachers, staff, and families—have a fun, safe, and successful school year!
