Washington County Sheriff' summary

The Washington County Sheriff's Office has completed it's part in the "Make It Click" seat-belt mobilization. Surveys before and after the campaign showed they had a 20% increase in seat-belt usage.

They had 4 deputies work 42 hours making contact with 57 drivers. During these contacts 29 citations were issued, 16 of those were for speeding. One person was arrested for DUI-alcohol and had an active warrant for their arrest. One mother was cited for child passenger safety seat violation after a deputy observed her driving with an infant in her lap.
