STOLEN FIREARM, INMATE IN DISTRESS ON WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF'S SUMMARY

A theft reported in the 4300 block of Hillside Drive yesterday afternoon is on the Washington County Sheriff’s Activity Summary for this past weekend. A theft of a firearm from someone’s vehicle was called in to the sheriff’s office, the owner did not realize it was missing until he arrived home in Kansas.

The arrest of a 22 year old woman for a Douglas County Warrant happened in Fort Calhoun. Among the many other matters on Sheriff Mike Robinson’s report, corrections officers performed the Heimlich maneuver on an inmate that was choking. Follow up was made by by the Blair Volunteer Fire and Rescue
